We want our customers to feel comfortable about their deer meat. Therefore, we signed up to be a testing facility. Remember you get YOUR deer back here. We don't batch process burger, sausage, cube steak, roasts, etc. We do batch process snack sticks, summer sausage, & bologna unless you order at least 25 lbs, then you'll get your deer only on those items too. It is recommended by the CDC that you test your deer but it is NOT mandatory. We've had to come up with some policies quickly to handle this in a manner that is fair to you and doesn't cost our business any financial loss. We are choosing to give our time for free to support our customers choices and comfort levels. These policies can change as we navigate this situation throughout the season. Please be patient and understand that we are doing our best to handle this.
If we are processing your deer testing is FREE. If you choose to test, you have two choices.
#1. Proceed with processing as usual and pay a $150 CASH deposit toward your order at drop off (we will refund any excess if applicable. We will not refund money due to a positive result.)
#2. If you prefer to wait on your test results to come back before choosing to process, we will skin gut & quarter your deer for our usual $55 fee paid in CASH and bring a cooler. You'll take it home and freeze it. Bring it back when you get a negative result. We can not store your deer.
